The Office of the Kansas Attorney General’s Victim Services Division administers eight programs to deter violence, support victims of crime, and support programs who provide direct services to victims. 
 

This position will support the administration, oversight, and monitoring of sex buyer educational and treatment programs in Kansas governed by the agency.  This position is responsible for assisting with program evaluation and approval processes, training, compliance monitoring, records and reporting requirements, provider support, and the implementation of applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.  This position works closely with internal staff, approved providers, and external stakeholders to help ensure programs operate in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
 

Primary Duties: 

  • Assist with the approval, evaluation, and monitoring of sex buyer educational and treatment programs.
  • Review provider applications, renewals, reports, and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Support the development and maintenance of required forms, records, reports, and program files.
  • Assist with monitoring provider compliance with program standards, reporting requirements, and staff qualification requirements.
  • Conduct or assist with compliance reviews, desk audits, and other monitoring activities as assigned.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to providers regarding program requirements and expectations.
  • Assist with the development, revision, and implementation of policies, procedures, forms and administrative regulations related to programs.
  • Develop and deliver training and educational resources to sex buyer education and treatment providers, ensuring clear understanding of program requirements and standards.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, summaries, and other administrative documents as needed.

  • Follow OAG policies and procedures

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, public policy, public affairs, criminal justice, public health, human/social services or closely related field preferred, but may be substituted with an Associate’s Degree and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.

Minimum Requirement(s):

  • Professional project management and/or coordination experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with victims of human trafficking.
  • Experience in program coordination or compliance monitoring.
  • Experience with public policy, data analysis, and research. 
  • Experience working with educational, treatment, behavioral health, victim services, or other service-based programs.
  • A valid driver's license is required when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.

Preferred Requirement(s):

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with attorneys, court personnel and other office staff.
  • Considerable knowledge of legal terminology, procedures and time limits.
  • Knowledge of legal concepts and practices.
  • Ability to use discretion regarding confidential material and to understand the legal code of ethics. 
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to express ideas effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Willingness to pitch in and help others beyond “assigned” caseload.
  • Ability to work 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday and occasionally beyond, with prior approval.
  • Ability to type 55wpm with a high level of accuracy. 

Travel: You may need to travel to locations to competently and diligently discharge the assigned duties. Limited in-state travel may be required.
