TOPEKA – (August 6, 2026)– Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced today that a Saline County judge sentenced a Salina man to nearly six years in prison for sexually exploiting children.

Honorable Jared Johnson sentenced Christopher Ryan Morgan, 34, of Salina, to 68 months in prison for three counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

“The victimization of children is among the most egregious conduct imaginable,” said Assistant Attorney General Ricardo Leal. “I commend the Salina Police Department and the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office for their diligent work in uncovering this crime and bringing this perpetrator to justice.”

Morgan pleaded guilty on May 18, 2026, to three counts of sexual exploitation of a child, each a severity level 5-person felony. Investigators determined that Morgan possessed images depicting children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

The Salina Police Department and the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office investigated the case. Assistant Attorney General Leal prosecuted the case for the Attorney General's Office.
