TOPEKA – (January 26, 2018) – Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt today named Toby Crouse to serve as Kansas Solicitor General.
Until his appointment as Solicitor General, Crouse, of Overland Park, was a partner in the Overland Park office of Foulston Siefkin, LLP. He previously served as a law clerk for Judge Mary Beck Briscoe of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and U.S. District Court Judge Monti Belot.
The Kansas Solicitor General leads the appellate division of the attorney general’s office on behalf of the attorney general. Crouse replaces former Kansas Solicitor General Stephen McAllister, who had served in the position since its creation in 2007 and resigned this week to serve as U.S. Attorney for the District of Kansas. Crouse will assume his duties next week.
