The Office of the Kansas Attorney General Tobacco Enforcement Unit ("TEU") was created on July 22, 2008. The TEU's primary mission is to enforce the terms of the Master Settlement Agreement ("MSA") within Kansas. The TEU utilizes regulation, litigation, legislation, and collaboration to enforce these terms and assist in protecting Kansas' annual MSA payout. Additionally, when not dealing with MSA issues, the TEU addresses other tobacco related issues, such as underage sales prevention and enforcement, and consumer claims.
