Lyons man sentenced to more than 27 years on rape charges

Stanley PointsLYONS – (February 15, 2012) – A Lyons man will spend more than 27 years in prison after being found guilty of two counts of rape, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.

Stanley W. Points, 53, pled to the charges in December. Judge Hannelore Kitts today sentenced Points to 330 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections.

The case was investigated by the Lyons Police Department. Assistant Attorney General C.W. Klebe and Rice County Attorney Scott McPherson prosecuted the case.
