Parsons man pleads no-contest to manufacturing meth

PARSONS – (April 9, 2012) – A Parsons man has pleaded no contest to a felony charge of manufacturing methamphetamine, Attorney General Derek Schmidt announced today.

Daniel Charles Hilger, 37, pled no contest to one count of manufacture of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Sentencing is set for May 18 at 9 a.m. Judge Jeffrey L. Jack is presiding over the case.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorney General Steve Wilhoft from Schmidt’s office. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Parsons Police Department and Labette County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crime.
