Independence man sentenced to 7 years on meth charge

Jason RiedleINDEPENDENCE – (November 15, 2012) – An Independence man was sentenced today to 7 years in prison after pleading guilty to manufacturing methamphetamine, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.

Jason D. Riedle, 29, was sentenced to 84 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections by District Judge Gary House. Riedle pleaded guilty to the charge of unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine in August.

The charge stemmed from an investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Assistant Attorneys General Kevin O’Connor and Amanda Voth of Schmidt’s office and Montgomery County Attorney Larry Markle prosecuted the case.
