Harper man sentenced to life in prison under Jessica’s Law

HARPER – (February 13, 2015) – A Harper man was sentenced yesterday to life in prison without the possibility of parole for at least 25 years under Jessica’s Law, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.

 Randall Kent Mullendore, 49, was sentenced in Harper County District Court by Judge Larry T. Solomon.  Solomon also ordered Mullendore to lifetime registration as a sex offender and lifetime parole.  Mullendore pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child younger than 14. The conviction stemmed from a crime that occurred between February 2007 and February 2010.   

 The case was investigated by the Harper Police Department. Assistant Attorney General Steve Karrer of Schmidt’s office and Harper County Attorney Janis Knox prosecuted the case.
