Kingman man convicted of murder

KINGMAN – (May 19, 2016) – A Kingman man was convicted today of murder in the second degree, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.

David Michael Younger, 52, of Kingman, was found guilty by a Kingman County jury. Judge Frances E. Meisenheimer presided over the trial. Sentencing has been set for July 5 at 1:30 p.m. in Kingman County District Court.

The crime was committed in December 2014. The charges stemmed from an investigation by the Kingman County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Assistant Attorneys General Amy Hanley and Kelly McPherron of Schmidt’s office and Matt Ricke, Kingman County Attorney, prosecuted the case.
